Safeguarding policy implementation and review

It is essential for churches and organisations to establish robust and transparent safeguarding policies and procedures that are embraced by all members within a supportive safeguarding culture. We help in crafting and executing policies aimed at protecting children and adults vulnerable to harm. For organisations with existing policies, we provide comprehensive reviews to ensure compliance with governmental guidelines, legislation, and other regulatory standards (e.g. Charity Commission, insurance requirements) and ensure adherence to any wider organisational or requirements.

"The purpose of formalizing your Policy in writing is so that your church can live it."

Quote from: The CHILD SAFEGUARDING POLICY GUIDE for Churches and Ministries Basyle Tchividjian & Shira M. Berkovits, 2017.

At Church Safeguarding Consultancy we are in agreement with this statement. A safeguarding policy should be a living document that all within the church or faith community agrees to adhere to. No one should work outside of your stated policy any such policy violation is unacceptable. It is about building a culture of safeguarding, and a safeguarding policy provides the framework for this.
